Valencia CF will face Villarreal CF on the afternoon of Saturday, 24 October at 18:30, at Mestalla, in the match corresponding to Matchday 10 of LALIGA EA SPORTS 2026-27.
As part of the collaboration between the Club and Valencian artist Lawerta to pay tribute to the last season of our stadium, a commemorative poster for the match has been created.
On the one hand, Pablo Aimar joined the Club in January 2001 after his time at River Plate, making his official debut on 14 February 2001 in a Champions League match against Manchester United at Mestalla. Despite his young age, the Argentine footballer dazzled with his creativity, skill and talent on the pitch, becoming one of the most outstanding players of the time and leaving unforgettable moments and plays for Valencia CF fans.
After six seasons at Valencia CF, during which he played 238 matches, scored 38 goals and provided 42 assists, winning two LALIGA titles (2002 and 2004), one UEFA Cup (2004) and one UEFA Super Cup (2004), Aimar headed to Real Zaragoza.
On the other hand, Riquelme is a legend of the ‘Groguet’ side after playing four seasons and reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 2003-04 and finishing third in LALIGA. He is currently the president of Club Atlético Boca Juniors.
